How do I get to the hotel?

On the day of your arrival, you will receive by e-mail* a form from Geneva Tourism giving you access to the Geneva Transport Card (GTC). Once completed, download the PDF with your name on it in order to benefit from free access to all public transport in the canton during your stay.

*In order to benefit from this pass, please make sure that the hotel has your email address.

From the airport

With your Geneva Transport Card, you can reach the Cornavin train station in the city centre in 7 minutes by taking the train from the airport. The hotel is a 5-minute walk towards the lake, on your left just before the Mont Blanc bridge.

By bus, tram or shuttle boat (Mouettes)

Public transport in Geneva is free of charge during your stay at the Hotel Bristol thanks to the GTC. Nearest stops: Mont-Blanc by bus, Cornavin station by tram located at 5 minutes on foot and Les Pâquis by Mouettes also at 5 minutes on foot.

By car in Switzerland

  • Coming from Lausanne on the motorway towards Lake Geneva:
    Drive along the lake, turn right before the Pont du Mont-Blanc. The Hôtel Bristol is the first building on your right.
  • Coming from the airport towards the city centre:
    Drive along the rue du Mont-Blanc. The Hôtel Bristol is on your left before the bridge.

By car from France

  • Coming from Chamonix or Annecy towards the city centre:
    Cross the Pont du Mont-Blanc. The Hôtel Bristol is on your right 30 metres past the bridge.

The Hotel Bristol Geneva is located in the center of the city, a few steps from Lake Geneva and less than 5 minutes walk from the Cornavin train station.

Near the Bristol Geneva you have access to several buses as well as small yellow boats (Mouettes) allowing you to explore the city free of charge with your Geneva Transport Card* (*more information on this subject in the section "how to get to the hotel?").

Is smoking allowed in the rooms?

Smoking is forbidden in nonsmoking rooms on penalty of a CHF 400 fine. However, we do have some smoking rooms on the 6th floor.

I need help to find a good restaurant in Geneva; I'd like to buy tickets to the theatre or the opera. Can you take care of this?

Yes, our concierge is at your disposal to not only propose tables according to your preferences but also to organize your evening. Our restaurant " Côté Square " is also one of the best tables in Geneva and was awarded 15 points out of 20 by the Gault&Millau Switzerland guide in 2023.

I will arrive very late and will not have had time to have dinner, do you offer room service?

Yes, room service is available during service hours, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Discover our menu here

When is your restaurant open?

The restaurant Côté Square is open from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, for lunch and dinner - with a seasonal menu. Reservations are recommended at +41 (0)22 716 57 58

The bar is open every day for lunch and dinner - with a snack menu.

Two annual closures are generally scheduled after New Year's Eve and Easter. The bar remains open during these periods.

Room service is also available 7 days a week.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, we accept small pets (large pets on request).

Pets are allowed for an additional fee of CHF 25 per pet, per night. There is no charge for service animals.

Any damage caused during your stay will be at your expense. Do not hesitate to contact us to plan the stay of your companion.

Can I drop off my luggage early in the morning if I'm booked for the evening?

Of course, the hotel has luggage storage, and if you have a reservation at the Bristol we would be happy to hold your luggage on arrival or after departure.

My flight arrives very early in the morning. What time can I check in? Is there somewhere I can take a shower while waiting for my room to be ready?

The room is ready by 3pm and we can store your luggage while you wait; you can also access the wellness center to shower and get ready in case you need to leave immediately upon arrival.

How do I obtain early check-in or late check-out?

Early check-in or late check-out are subject to availability. We cannot guarantee them. If early check-in or late check-out are part of your requirements, we advise you to book the night before or the night after.

Can an extra bed and/or a cot be put in any room?

Our Superior and Deluxe rooms as well as our Junior suites and Duplexes are fitted out to accommodate up to three people. Parents may request a cot or an extra bed for children up to six years old.

How much does an extra bed cost?

Parents may request a cot or an extra bed for children up to six years old free of charge (family package not included). The cost of an extra bed for children aged seven and up is automatically calculated according to the dates of your stay.

I have two or more children. How many rooms should I book?

Our classic rooms can accommodate a maximum of 2 people; however, we have connecting classic rooms that can accommodate 4 people in both rooms. From the superior room onwards, 3 people can be accommodated per room with a possible supplement depending on the age of the 3rd person. We also have some connecting deluxe rooms to accommodate up to 6 people in these two rooms.

Is free internet access available throughout the hotel?

Wi-Fi and cable connections are available free of charge throughout the hotel (rooms and public areas except the wellness centre). There is also an internet point in the hotel lobby where you can access the internet, scan documents or a USB stick and print a document.

Does the hotel have parking?

Yes, the hotel has a few parking spaces in a covered parking lot located right next to the hotel. It is advisable to reserve them in advance when making your reservation or by sending an e-mail to our concierge; the cost is CHF 40.

Parking in the Square du Mont-Blanc is metered from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday and is limited to 90 minutes.

How many rooms do you have?

The hotel features 110 rooms and suites, spread over 7 floors. Rooms Unique! renovated in December 2021 in a contemporary art-deco style.

By when can I cancel if I book on your website or by telephone/email?

For bookings made on our website or by telephone, fax or email, the standard cancellation period is 24 hours before arrival (excluding events bookings). Late changes or cancellations and no-shows incur a penalty. Refer to your booking confirmation for how and when to change or cancel a booking. Please note, however, that nonrefundable bookings cannot be changed or cancelled. Please contact our booking department for more information at or +41 227 165 800.

Is the tap water safe to drink?

Geneva's drinking water is filtered to the highest standards. You can drink the tap water with absolute peace of mind.

Do you have chargers for mobile phones?

Our staff can provide you with several chargers of different brands.

Do you have a gym and a spa?

Yes, the hotel has a beautiful wellness centre of more than 200 m2, renovated in November 2021. You will find a fitness room, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna and a massage room. Open every day from 08:00 to 23:00, access is free of charge for hotel guests and for guests who have booked a treatment or service in the wellness centre; an entrance fee of CHF 50.00 is charged to external guests.

Do you have newspapers?

Some local newspapers are available at the bar. We also offer a digital selection of over 500 international magazines and newspapers for reading on your smartphone or tablet.

What is being done to ensure the safety of guests during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The standards of cleanliness and hygiene we have always applied are the strictest; nevertheless, in line with the directives of the Swiss authorities, a series of additional actions and measures have been put in place to welcome you in the best possible conditions.

I need a travel certificate. Where can I get a PCR test in Geneva?

When booking on our website you can also book a PCR test by pharyngeal or nasopharyngeal swab (depending on your choice). The sample is taken by a nurse in your room and analysed by an approved laboratory. Test results are available within 12 to 24 hours at a cost of CHF 125 (additional charge of CHF 50 for travel on Sunday).
