How to get to the hotel ?

From the airport :

Take a free transportation ticket to the distributor located in the baggage retrieval area (arrival level). It will allow you to use Geneva’s public transportation during 80 minutes in order to get to the Cornavin train station in the city centre in 7 minutes by train. The hotel is 5 minutes’ walk towards the lake, on your left just before the Mont-Blanc bridge.

By bus, tram or “mouettes” :

The Geneva public transportation is free during your stay at the Bristol Hotel. A card will be given to you upon your arrival at the hotel. 
Closest stops: Mont-Blanc by bus, stop at Cornavin Station by tram located 5 minutes’ walk and stop at les Paquis in “mouettes”, also 5 minutes’ walk away

By car from Switzerland :

  • Coming from Lausanne by the highway – – towards Geneva-Lake :
    Drive along the lake, before the Mont-Blanc bridge turn right. The Bristol is located immediately on the right side.
  • Coming from the airport – towards the city centre :
    The hotel is located on the left side of the Mont Blanc street, before the bridge.

By car from France :

  • From Chamonix or Annecy towards the city centre :
    Cross the Mont Blanc bridge, the hotel is located 30 meters after the bridge on the right side.

Is it possible to smoke in the rooms ?

No, it is impossible to smoke in the non-smoking rooms. A 400 CHF fine will be charged in case of non-compliance with this rule. But we do have some smoking rooms located on the 6th Floor.

I need help to find a good restaurant in Geneva, or tickets for the theatre, the opera… Could you take care of it ?

Yes, the reception is at your disposal not only suggest restaurants according to your preferences but also to organize your evening. Our restaurant “Côté Square” is also part of one of the best restaurants in Geneva and has been awarded 16 points out of 20 by the 2021 Switzerland Gault & Millau Guide.

I will arrive very late and will not have time to dine, do you have a 24/24 room-service ?

(Yes, our room service is available 24/24, all you have to do is order) -> Reluctantly during the Covid-19 period, we have to discontinue this service

When is your restaurant open ?

UPDATE COVID-19 – 13 Septembre 2021

As per the Swiss Council’s regulations, all guests coming to the restaurant must have a Covid certificate meaning you should be fully vaccinated (maximum 12 months after full vaccination) or recovered (6 months and 11 days after infection) or with a PCR test (not older than 72 hrs).

The restaurant Côté Square is open from Monday to Friday, for lunch and dinner and on Saturday evening. The other days, the Côté Café menu is suggested.

The Restaurant Côté Square is open from Tuesday to Friday included, for lunch and dinner and on Monday evening and Saturday evening. We usually close twice a year the first week of January and during the Easter’s holidays.

A simpler and “homemade” fresh cuisine is served at Côté Café on weekend from noon to 2 pm and from 7 pm to 10 pm.
From 2pm to 6pm, 7 days a week, a second “homemade” snacking menu is served with a special attention to high quality produce from starter to dessert

Can I come with my pet ?

Yes, we accept small size animals (large size on request). You will be responsible for any damages caused during your stay, if the case arises. Please do not hesitate to contact us to organise the stay of your companion.

Can I leave my luggage early in the morning if I have a reservation for the same evening ?

Of course, the hotel has a luggage storage area and if you have a reservation at the Bristol, we would be happy to keep your luggage upon arrival or after the departure.

My flight arrives very early in the morning; at what time can I take the room? Is there a place where I could take a shower while my room is being prepared ?

The room is ready at 2 PM, but we can keep your luggage in the meantime. You can also access the wellbeing centre if you wish to take a shower and get ready in case you have to leave immediately upon arrival.

How can I arrange an early check-in or a late check-out ?

Early check-in or late check-out are possible only according to availability. We cannot guarantee them. If early check-in or late check-out are part of your requirements, it is recommended that you book the previous night or the following night.

Can we have an extra bed and/or a baby crib in all rooms ?

All our rooms are equipped to receive up to 3 persons, with the exception of the Ladies first rooms. We graciously provide on request, a baby crib or an extra bed in the parent’s rooms for children up to 6 years old.

What is the cost ?

The baby crib is free and the extra bed is free of charge for children up to 6 years old in the parent’s rooms (with the exception of the family offer). From children of 7 years old and above, the price of the extra bed is calculated automatically according to the dates of your stay.

I have two or more children; how many rooms should I book ?

Our rooms can only accommodate up to 3 people, we have connecting rooms in Classic and Deluxe categories (2 Classic together or 2 Deluxe together); therefore, we can accommodate up to 6 people if you book two interconnecting rooms.

Is the Internet access available in the entire hotel free of charge ?

Wi-Fi and cable connections are available free of charge in the entire hotel (rooms and common parts except in the wellbeing centre). An Internet point is also available in the hotel lobby and allows you to surf on the internet, scan documents or a USB key and print a document in black and white.

Is there a parking lot in the hotel ?

Yes the hotel has 4 covered parking spaces situated right beside the hotel. We advise that you book your parking space when you book your room by sending an email to our concierge : bristol@bristol.ch, the cost of this parking space is 50 CHF

How many rooms do you have ?

The hotel has 110 rooms and suites, divided between 7 floors.

What is the hotel cancellation policy if I book on your Internet site or by phone/email directly ?

By default, the cancellation policy applied on bookings made online on our internet site, by telephone, fax or email, is 24 hours before the arrival, not including congress periods. In the case of modification or late cancellation and no-show, a penalty will be charged. We recommend you to refer to your booking confirmation for more information about the cancellation and modification policy applied to your booking. However, be careful because non-refundable offers cannot be cancelled, modified or reimbursed. Is the tap water safe for drinking ?

The water of Geneva is of an irreproachable quality and therefore there is absolutely no problem with tap water.

Yes, the hotel has a beautiful wellbeing centre of more than 200 m2 with gym, Jacuzzi, steam bath, two saunas and a chomotherapy rest room. The access is free and for the exclusive use of the hotel guests. It is opened all day from 7 AM to 10:30 PM.

UPDATE COVID-19 (January 2021): The wellness centre remains open everyday from 7am to 10pm; please respect the social distancing requirements.

We offer a digital access of a selection of more than 500 titles of international magazines and newspapers so you can read them on your smartphone or tablet.

I need a travel certificate, where can I do a PCR test in Geneva?

While booking your room in direct with us, you can also reserve online a PCR test by means of a throat or nose swab done by a nurse in the comfort of your room; the sample is then analysed in a licensed laboratory. The result is available within 12 to 24 hours, in French and English for the cost of CHF 125.- (supplement of CHF 50.- for coming on Sundays).

Cancellation policy is 24h prior to the test.
